Who’s in your circle?

Having the right people in your circle can make a big difference. I must admit that I’m friendly to everyone, but I don’t consider everyone, my friend. I remember when I use to hang out with any and everybody, but with age, I became wiser when deciding who I should be around and who I should let go and distance myself from. The same people that call you their friend could be the same people that are trying to stop you from getting your next win. When you have a circle full of winners and go-getters, you only level up and as they win you win and the reputation of friends winning is known. Believe it or not, the people you hang around can start to have a significant influence on your life; rather, it’s a good influence or a bad influence.

When moving forward, it’s essential to let go of people trying to pull you backward. The best thing I could have done was let go of those still wanting me to relive my past. I remember going through a period in my life when I got saved, and I had to ask God to remove anyone toxic out my life. That prayer was so powerful that I lost a lot of friends, but in the mist, blessings start coming my way. Hanging around the wrong people is dangerous, and it could lead to destruction if you don’t ask God to step in. Don’t let those who you hang around block your blessings!

Beware of wolves in sheep clothing! A Wolf in sheep clothing is an enemy disguised as a friend. It’s important to ask God to give you discernment. When choosing friends, it’s important to have the ability to judge well. I often say this prayer, “Lord protect me from my known and unknown enemies.”

In 2019, I’m not up for fake friends. When you’re loyal, you expect loyalty. Life is too short to settle for less, even when it comes to friendships. It’s time to be wise and choose the right people to hang around and be associated with. Always remember that bad company corrupts good morals.
