Money Hungry

1 Timothy 6:10

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

After witnessing different people known and unknown being so money hungry, I decided to write a blog about it. For the love of money can lead to many things including violence, broken relationships, lust, depression, and the list goes on. Some people even lose their mind while thinking about money and the thought can make them become anxious to get more of it. To me it’s crazy that some people are really making money an idol.

The older I get the more I treat money as a gift from God. Yes, I want more gifts, but I don’t want to fall in love with money. I’m thankful for what I have and I do desire to get more, but I’m not letting the thoughts of more money change how I treat others, carry myself, or come between my relationship with God. So why does money change people and how does it change people? I’ll tell you how. Money looks and feels good, so once you get more you’re high for it increases.

Some people with less money can easily change with money and some people with money can get arrogant once falling deeper in love with money. The love of money can cause people to fall out with friends and family members, do things that are out their character, and draw father away from God. Loving money is honestly a dangerous game. Some people have even robbed, killed, and sold their bodies for the love of money. So you see why the love of money can be a big deal. So with that being said let’s not let money get in the way of family, friendships, morals, and doing the right thing.

Money comes and goes, but one thing I do know is God is forever. Chose God and let him keep pouring blessings your way. Fall in love with God, and all things will work together for you good.

  1. This blog is on point and puts so many things into perspective. I found out in life that I am much more at peace when I don’t make money the goal. My joy and peace is the goal.
