“I want you to win, you deserve it!” I still think about what my Godly sister sent to me on Facebook messenger. This Godly sister always encourages me, lookout for opportunities for me, and she’s definitely what I would say is, “THE PLUG.” In other words, she’s about her business and loyal when it comes to friendship. Other than my Godly sister, I have a bunch of other winners and motivators on my team including my mother and sister. You see it’s good to motivate, but it’s also great to be motivated by good people as well.
Who’s in your circle? Do you hang around people that are pushing you forward or pulling you backwards? When it comes to growth, everyone isn’t always meant to grow with you. I always say that I like to surround myself with winners and people that are about growth. Making sure you have the right people in your life makes a huge difference. Be bold, and make sure your circle is for you and not against you.
Don’t forget to motivate yourself! Speak over yourself and encourage yourself. It’s important to have the right people on your side, but also do your part as well. I love to motivate others, be motivated by the right people, and I also motivate myself. So what does motivating yourself look like? It looks like self-talk, having discipline, and being able to push yourself even when you don’t feel like it. Motivation is free, it just takes you doing it!
