It’s crazy how I took a seat for so long. The seat of waiting, not wanting to be free and express myself, and the seat of not feeling like it was my turn. The seat has been pulled from me and now I can’t help but stand up and walk into new doors, victories, and dance my way through every win, pain, and struggle. Let me make it clear that I used to be the girl that wanted to sit down and wait, but now I’m up, outside, dropping off laziness, and walking boldly in every blessing God has for me.
I’m done just holding a chair down! I’m up doing my two step or simply standing up, giving God all the praise. During my college homecoming, a close friend of mine and I went out, and I saw so many people sitting down. I looked at her and said, “Let’s go to the middle of the floor and dance.” At that moment, I felt free. I told her sitting down wasn’t for me anymore. I want to be in every moment and enjoy it to the fullest!
Laziness is not my friend. Why keep letting my life go by doing nothing? There is too much to do and too many moves to make to just lay around, sleep the day away! GET UP and say goodbye to being lazy. I look at it like this, if I want to start the business, I must kick having a lazy spirit out the door! If I want to attend a festival or take a trip, I’ve got to get up and go! The same thing applies to you. If you hold on to lazy ways, your days will pass you by. Let each day give you something, even if it’s just a small memory.
Walk Boldly into every blessing because you deserve it! You deserve that new job, your new relationship, or whatever it might be! Walk into some new stuff and let some other things GO! Stop sitting on the past and get up dancing with your present and future. If you can talk the talk you might as well walk the walk! Be bold with it! You’ve been waiting for too long to act as if it doesn’t mean a lot! Even if your waiting on some things, start walking like your victory has already been won or that blessing will be here before you could blink your eyes.
So as for me, I’m done just sitting down. I’m that friendly woman standing up, dancing, getting outside, and walking into every blessing that God has given me.
