I’ll Never Forget You

“Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it,” Hebrews 13:2. My work shift was about to end when a man walked in with a bag. I remembered helping him before, and I was thinking he just needed some help again. He told me he appreciated my kindness from the previous time he met me. He looked at me and smiled as he reached in his bag. I was thinking wow what could it be! He gave me a card, and I didn’t know what to expect. The card had a hand written letter in it full of bible scriptures. Before he walked out the door, he said to me, “Never forget me.” I looked back and told him that I will always remember.

I don’t know who this is for but how you treat others is very important. Doing good to others with your actions and words makes a big difference. You never know who might be suicidal, unhappy, or just bitter. I like to treat people how God treats me. I have a big heart to love, and I never judge others by their outer appearance. I always push forward to try to feel people’s heart and see who they truly are. Life isn’t easy for everybody, so the least you could do is offer your kindness.

Some people might say hurt people hurt people but what if you treat those hurt people with love? Being good to other people isn’t always easy, but it’s worth it. It’s easy to be nice to nice people but push pass a nasty person and still treat them with kindness. They will end up thinking about their actions later and your love can overturn their harmful words and actions. God is constantly looking down make sure you show others his love.

So how can you be more kind? Can you make not one but everyone who encounter you feel loved? There are a lot of bad things going on in the world, but you and I can make a difference. Don’t add to the chaos, instead be unforgettable with your kindness and peaceful spirit. Life is better with a smile and words to bring others up instead of down.
