I met a man that asked me for help, and the first thing he told me was, “I’m a grumpy old man.” I smiled at the time and said, “Let me help you,” and “Sir you remind me of my grandpa.” I then said, my grandpa appeared grumpy to others, but one small conversation and peppermint would always make him smile. My grandpa is no longer here, but whenever he saw me, he would become calm.” After helping the man, he told me that he loved me. He also shared that he wished others would be more kind. In life we meet many people who aren’t always the kindest, but we must always let our light shine around them. I decided to write this blog with ways how you can let your light bless others!
Shine with your words! Spread the good news! Instead of looking for things that are going bad why not look for everything going right! Never let a bad day cause you to spill your negativity on someone else. I dare you to start speaking to others in ways that will bless you and also them. Never be the person full of doubt, confusion, or chaos! I encourage you to be the person who always has something good to say. If you don’t have anything kind to say, keep it to yourself! Remember your words can hurt or heal.
Shine with your actions! Start doing more for others! Start helping more and leave the excuses behind! Often times we get so caught up in ourselves that we ignore the joys of doing things for other people. Be a helping hand in one of the many ways that you can do so! It brings so much joy to be a blessing! It doesn’t take much to help others! A simple prayer can go a long way!
Shine with your lifestyle! When other people see you, let them see God. I honestly feel like your light can show up instantly when you walk in a building! Did you know that you can be the sunshine on a rainy day? If you didn’t know now, well now you do! Your light can be so bright that it starts to attach to other people. I dare you to let your light shine by how you decide to live your life! Remember to lead people in the way of freedom and not bondage.
Shine being judgement free. I met some people that others would not want to sit with, walk with, or even talk to! How can you let your light shine if you want to hide it from others? In this season, let your light reach everyone you meet! Be judgement free and let your light inspire not only certain people but everyone!
After typing up this blog, I decided to label this season of 2023, shine spring! I plan to continue to shine everywhere I go. I dare you to also let your light shine not only in one place but in every place. God made you special for a reason! Let your light shine and inspire others to let their light shine as well.
