Thank You, Dad

My dad was an awesome man and my best friend. I sure do miss him today. He is truly missed, and I will love him forever. My dad taught me many things growing up! I want to highlight three things that I will never forget.

1. Education is important. The more I learn, the more I will grow. My dad was a man of knowledge. He was smart in all areas, and he pushed me to keep going and climbing until I reached the top. My dad also paid my entire way through college. I have a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree without having to pay any loans back! Dad, I’m proud to say that I’m still climbing, and will not stop until I reach the top.

2. Knowing my worth and what I deserve is essential. I used to ask my dad why he would spend so much on one pair of shoes when he could buy a lot of cheaper ones. He said, “Quality is better than quantity.” It made me want to stop wearing all my cute cheap shoes and invest in nice shoes that would not only look good but make my feet feel good as well. He taught me to buy and accept the best because I deserve it!

3. Don’t let others push me over. I used to love hearing my dad say right hook, left hook, uppercut! I used to love watching wrestling with my dad, I was so excited when he took me to a live show in GA! My dad knew I was always so sweet, but he taught me how to be tough and not let people treat me any kind of way! He taught me how to stand up for myself. I might be small, but inside of me is a Lion!

My dad is no longer here on earth, and the lessons he taught me I’ll never forget. Today I celebrate you dad. I love you in this world and afterwards.
Happy Father’s Day!
