Closing the Door to Worrying and Self-Doubt

Peaceful Spring Days

In order to trust God, we must be certain that everything will work out for our good. It’s far too easy to worry and let doubt creep in, but this year we need to focus on God more. Worrying can lead to all sorts of negative outcomes and thoughts. This year, let’s release all our worries and give our problems to the Lord. God wants us to trust Him and know that He’s got our backs. I appreciate discussing my concerns with my fiancé, who’s a devout man. Whenever I worry, he shares a relevant scripture, and I’m grateful for my sister’s and mother’s prayers. This season, we need to learn how to close the door on worry and self-doubt.

Let’s begin by not allowing the enemy to enter our minds. Our minds are incredibly powerful, so when negative thoughts attempt to infiltrate, let’s deny them access. It’s crucial to know the word so we can readily quote scriptures. The enemy thrives on our worry, but our God instructs us to trust Him. We must not trust the negative thoughts the enemy tries to impose on us. Let’s expel the enemy and refuse them access.

Second, we need some powerful, Godly people in our lives. I remember going through a tough season when it felt like the enemy was attacking me relentlessly. I reached out to my sister, mother, fiancé, and best friend. When enemies attack, God always provides people to help us get back on track. I urge you to examine the company you keep. These individuals will also aid you in overcoming worry and self-doubt.

Last, know that closing the door to worries and self-doubt will open up endless joy and peace! Why worry when God still has us alive? Instead of worrying or having self-doubt, let’s simply say, “God, I’m giving this to you!” The Lord will always come through to remove anything that will try to hinder us.

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose”

-Romans 8:28
