It’s a blessing to be a blessing! Life offers many opportunities to make a difference in others’ lives. It doesn’t take much to help someone out. I’ve had many experiences helping people I knew and didn’t know. Serving God is a source of great joy in my life. It’s truly a blessing to be a blessing. You can make a difference this year by volunteering, donating items, or praying for others.
Being a volunteer at my church’s Vacation Bible School was worth it! I had the chance to teach younger kids about the Bible. I also helped them with many projects and assisted with other tasks for the youth. This was my first time doing this type of volunteer work, but it definitely won’t be my last! This experience not only made me want to work with the youth, but it also made me think I could definitely do more volunteer work around my community. Other places to volunteer include homeless shelters, nursing homes, and the list goes on. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters” – Colossians 3:23.
One of my coworkers asked if anyone wanted to donate to kids in need. I was eager to clean out my closet and give away some gently used items to those in need. Donating clothes, food, and other things can help make a difference to those in need. When we give to others, our hands are being generous to those in need.
Praying for others makes a huge difference. I recall a woman at church placing her hands on me one Sunday, and I felt the chains falling off me. There is power in our prayers! Use your Godly hands to help and uplift others. God has given us the power to make a difference with the words we use! Begin using those praying hands and bring change into the lives of those around you!
I encourage you to do more by helping this year and see how it blesses both you and others.
