The Treasure Wife

Wedding Day Joy

“ She brings him good, not harm , all the days of her life.” – Proverbs 31:12

When thinking about a treasure, I think about something hard to find, and once we maintain it, we never want to let it go. Younger Aeriel saw herself as a soon-to-be trophy wife, but now I see that I’m a true treasure wife. I was first told I was a treasure, and not just a trophy, by my now-husband. I asked him when we first met why he told me I was a treasure and not a trophy. He replied, ‘Because I had to really put in the work to find you, and I’m willing to protect you with my very life, as a man would do with his treasure. I’m not just here to show you off to make myself look better; you enhance my life and make it richer, as treasure does.’

Thinking about what my husband said made me realize some of my own qualities, which are those of a treasure wife. These qualities include respect, honor, beauty, and most importantly, being hidden for the right person to find. Respect comes with knowing who you are and what you will not deal with. A treasure wife sets her standards high and does not mind being hidden for the right man to find. Honor follows respect as men and women honor her for all the good deeds she does for others. A treasure wife will be honored and praised.

A treasure wife is beautiful on the outside and inside. A treasure is something others never want to let go; it’s rare and very expensive. A treasure is something you want to not only show off but treasure for the rest of your life. This kind of wife lights up every room with her precious beauty!

Last but not least a treasure wife can also be known to be hard to find. She’s not doing the most to get noticed. She’s working, praying, waiting , and know that at the right time the right man will find her. She’s anxious for nothing, because at the right time she will be found. When I stopped looking for attention and worked on my self I was able to allow the right man to find me. Ladies it’s ok to work on yourself without letting others know your every move.
