When I walk into any room, God is right beside me, and with His presence, I shine every time!
Leaving church, a woman stopped me and said, ‘You’re such a light.’ She told me that she met me at my job and every time she comes to my job, I’m always smiling, greeting people, and making everybody feel like somebody. I looked at this woman and embraced her with a hug. Leaving church, all I could do was give God the glory. Being a walking inspiration is simply how you carry yourself, how you treat other people, and by the things you say!
How you carry yourself for me includes being classy. Walking into a room as if I’m going somewhere, taking the extra time to put on some makeup to enhance my beauty, spraying on perfume, and brushing my teeth extra well to make sure my smile is ready. For me, dressing up not only makes me feel better but also helps me stand out. I’m not only shining for myself but also for God.
How you treat others matters! Like the old saying goes, treat others how you want to be treated. I love simply complementing others, asking people if they need help, and being an ear to listen to anything good or bad they would like to say to me. Treating others well matters! Being an inspiration comes from how you make people feel when you’re there and once you leave.
What are you saying? I love using my words to make a daily impact on the lives of others. Being a walking inspiration means using your words for good, not evil. Say things that build yourself and others up. Speak life, not death. Use words to inspire!
Just like me, you can be a walking inspiration too! If you’re not already one, just make sure you carry yourself well, treat others with respect, and use your words to lift others up!
