Let us all welcome the season of Thanksgiving by being thankful, being a blessing, and remembering God who has let us see another season.
What are you thankful for? In life, it’s so easy to get caught up in thinking about what we don’t have, but now let’s focus on all that we do have. Let’s focus on family, friends, the clothes we have, and the food we have to eat. Before getting caught up in wanting more, let’s just be thankful for what God has given us. We are too blessed to be ungrateful.
Be a blessing to those in need. Not only be thankful, but also be a blessing! I felt great giving money to those in need and volunteering to help others in community projects. If you have extra time or money to help others, don’t think about it, do it! The Lord loves a cheerful giver, so use what God has blessed you with to also bless others. “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7).
What’s on your table?
With the season of Thanksgiving, let’s not forget about the food and memories that will be on the table. Whether you’re cooking or just fellowshipping, remember to be grateful. While having Thanksgiving dinner, make it personal by giving God all the glory. Think about those who have gone from this world and those who are still here. Keep the memories strong and never forget those memories that are gone. Also, always remember it’s not only about the food, but more about God, who has made this season happen once again.
In this season of Thanksgiving, let us embrace gratitude, be a source of inspiration, and rejoice that God has graciously allowed us to witness this season once again
