Telling my husband and daughter I was going to sign up for our church play had them both excited! It came a time in my life where I stopped wanting to be the center of attention after college and just wanted to focus more on supporting others and pushing them to be the best they could be. In other words, I became the hype woman! I stepped away from being bold, but saying yes to trying out for my church’s huge play showed me that nothing was holding me back in 2026! I first went in saying I wanted to help support the cast or simply work behind the scenes, but as I was doing mini acts and singing with those coming to audition, I was asked to do a solo auditions in the back! This time I wasn’t nervous; I went with peace, as I knew God was pushing me to do it! Sometimes God places other people in our lives to help push us to greatness.
What does overcoming fear look like to me? It’s simple: take the first step! Fear can easily have us stuck, and fear can trap us in a box. It’s time to jump out of the box and thrive. Knowing that God walks with us makes it easy to start moving. Fear can’t stop us if God already said He’s got us. Making the first move isn’t always easy, but it’s worth it. What if what we do doesn’t work? At least we tried, and God often has better for us! It’s better to walk in God’s calling instead of missing out on all God’s opportunities for our lives. Never let doubt and fear stop you from being all God says you can be. It’s time to walk in God’s calling for our lives. God says we are enough, and He also says that we are chosen.
Overcoming Fear also looks like cancelling all self-doubt. A lot of times, I held myself back by overthinking! Overthinking sometimes causes us to walk on eggshells and not excel. Playtime is over in 2026; I stepped out of self-doubt and prospering . Whatever God is calling me to do in this new year, I’m going to do it! I encourage you to do whatever God is calling you to do as well. I know God not only birth a business in me, but He’s also calling me to inspire people daily by showing off His love, kindness, and helpfulness.
Overcoming fear involves trusting God boldly. Stop caring about what other people might say or think, and trust God. He didn’t give you those ideals for no reason; He didn’t have you write those speeches, start making a website, or whatever your calling start-up process may be. Trust in the Lord and fear not. This is our time to grow and glow. Make up your mind, as I made up mine, to allow nothing or nobody to hold us back. Be inspired with me and let’s step into this year, overcoming fear and walking boldly into what God is calling us to do.
