I woke up telling my husband I was going to have a productive week! I’m over the word busy. Why be booked in busy when I can be productive and elevating? The truth is, saying I was busy was making me stressed. Like the old saying goes, I’m too blessed to be stressed. Here are a few steps to help make this week, and every week, a productive one.
Start the week with a plan and with peace. Set goals and learn how to cross or check them off as you accomplish them. Make everything that needs to be done a blessing and not a burden. The truth is that when we look at a productive week, it should make us smile and not feel overwhelmed. Looking forward to tackling the to-do list for the week will help drop off stress.
Are you too busy getting distracted? What’s distracting you from getting ahead? Canceling distractions can help with having a week filled with progress. If I’m being honest, scrolling online for hours blocks the time where I could be getting things done. If we want to be productive, we must put what’s important at the top of our to-do list. The best scrolling for me comes after getting my to-do list done.
Plan for self-care! Being productive also includes taking care of you. When you’re busy all the time, you can often forget about yourself. Set that nail appointment! Treat yourself to a massage, or whatever self-care might be. The best you is the you that’s not overworked. It’s okay to plan that self-care day or even weekend.
Lastly, a protective week means taking ‘busy’ out of your speech. Change your mindset and start thinking and moving as if everything you do has purpose behind it. Sometimes being busy is a look to make us seem important, but are we really being productive? Think about it. Being productive makes us look more than important; it shouts out that we are goal getters. The words you say have power. Let’s protect our minds and time and be productive all 2026.
