Be The Light

You know you’re the light when you walk into a place and make everything come alive. Others could look as if they’re dead, but you make them come alive. There is a lot of negativity in this world, but think about what your peace and kindness could do. Be the light is doing more than just a saying; it’s merely living it! So how do you be the light, it’s simple.

In my opinion, “be the light” includes actions, attitude, and lifestyle.

Actions

Instead of always thinking about yourself, use actions to help others. You can do this by donating, if not with money than with time. Also acts of kindness! I love doing kind things for people when they least expect it. I also remember when others did random acts of kindness for me. I do believe that actions mean more than words! You can tell people all day that you’re a great person, but make sure that your actions back that up in public and behind closed doors.

Attitude

Many people don’t realize that attitude is a big deal. Being the light doesn’t consist of continually complaining, acting hateful towards others, or always walking in a room with a bad attitude. Can you believe that just waking in a room with a smile can bring light to others? A simple compliment can cheer others up, and how you enter the room with a positive attitude can change the atmosphere! Let your attitude bring joy and not misery to others.

Lifestyle

Me being a Godly woman, I want to make sure my lifestyle honors God. You won’t see me in public fighting or having social media beef with someone online. The way I carry myself brings positive attention and energy. Although I joke about twerking, when you see me, I’m mostly working and serving. My lifestyle is to honor God and not this world.

Let your light shine. Whatever you do remember that someone is always watching. In a lot of darkness stand out and let your light shine! Being the light is not a burden; it’s an award. I’m going to continue to let my light shine because I want it to set others on fire. This type of fire isn’t the type of fire that will kill you, but the kind of fire that will bless you.
