I’ll Celebrate You Forever

It’s leap year and today was the day my father was born. Sitting at my work desk last week, I felt as if I couldn’t see myself anywhere but off work to celebrate my dad’s birthday. As if he was still alive, the feeling of celebrating my father’s birthday brings me joy. If you know me, you know I always did it big for my dad on his birthday. Dad, although you’re not here, the celebration will continue!

They said leap year babies are special and I truly believe it! My father wasn’t just any man! He was a protector, provider, leader, and a man with knowledge! I’m so proud to have a dad that will always be remembered forever! Your legacy continues!

I remember all that my dad has taught me, and it all makes sense now. Life can be hard but with pressure comes true strength! When I feel weak, I think about how my dad taught me how to be strong. He taught me not to judge anyone because everyone has a story! He taught me that knowledge is power and never let anyone make me feel less than! He taught me that I am a queen, and I shouldn’t expect anything less! My dad taught me so much!

I think about my dad every day! On this day, I plan to do what I always do which is doing the most to show my appreciation for him! I could never repay my dad back for all he has done for me, but I can continue to keep his legacy alive! I love you dad forever and always! Like I once told my dad “I’ll love you in this life and the next one.”
