In a heartfelt tribute to Jimmy Brown, we venture forth each year to kindle memories that never fade. Following the vibrant trails of New York and Chicago, Miami unfolded its warmth, embracing us in an unforgettable adventure that honored Ashlee and my dad, my mother’s loving husband, and filled our hearts with boundless love.
We relaxed on day one. After flying in and exploring Riu Miami, we found it beautiful, similar to Riu Jamaica. I chose this Riu due to my father’s fondness for it. Since our room wasn’t ready, we dined at a great restaurant Pikio Taco & Pool Bara before eating dinner at the Riu.
Day two was lit! Ashlee arrived, and our first stop was Gianni’s Restaurant, the former Versace Mansion. When our server learned we were celebrating Jimmy Brown’s life, she gave us a huge surprise. Later, we went shopping at another upscale restaurant.
On day three, we went to the beach, which was beautiful. I reflected on how living worry-free was the best way to live. I’m familiar with the sensation of being in the water and feeling the sand. Next, we visited an amazing seafood restaurant and the Dolphin Mall. We had a fantastic time and ended the night with a fine dining experience.
This trip reminded me of Dad and the luxury experiences he brought us, showing that life is short and we should enjoy it now. I thought about elevation, how Dad never settled for less, and reflected on our shared times. Returning home happy, I knew Mom, Ashlee, and I remained strong.
