The Forge Speaks to Us All

A group of friends praying

The Forge is in theaters now, and this blog won’t reveal too much, but it will inspire you. My boyfriend and I saw this movie, and it inspired us both, making us wish for more Christian movies that inspire people and promote peace over chaos and drama. The main points that truly inspired me were the impact of respect, becoming a disciple, and the significance of forgiveness.

Respect goes a long way. Mark 12:31 states, ‘The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no greater commandment. When we love others as ourselves, we shouldn’t judge them for not having it all together. Jesus sat with sinners without becoming like them. Respecting others shows self-respect. This movie demonstrates how disrespect can block blessings, but a Godly person won’t judge, instead helping others improve.

Following God isn’t easy, but it’s worth it. A young man lets go of things that blinded him to Jesus’ example. He becomes more enthusiastic about sharing the gospel and self-improvement. Although he faces struggles, supportive people help him overcome. To become more like Jesus, surround yourself with strong Christians who can provide encouragement. We need family and friends who support our spiritual journey.

Many people struggle with forgiveness, which can be a hindrance to healing. However, overcoming forgiveness can bring liberation. As Ephesians 4:31-32 states, we should put away bitterness and anger, and forgive one another as God forgave us through Christ. This movie showcases the strength of forgiveness and moving forward.

The movie has a lot to offer, but I didn’t want to give too much away. I encourage you to see it, as it may inspire and even change your life.
