Worth the Wait: Fiancé Era

Love and Happiness

I’m currently in my Fiancé Era! God is faithful, even in our waiting seasons. In 2023, I prayed for a Godly man and recorded it on my prayer board. After a period of waiting, working, and serving, I met my future husband at church. I’m confident that during my wait, God was preparing me for our relationship. Rather than seeking him out, I waited. Meanwhile, I focused on personal growth to become the best version of myself. I wrote this blog to reassure single women that God’s timing is perfect. Below are three suggestions for things to do while waiting.

1. Seek God and let Him know your wants and desires. “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart”. – Psalm 37:4 Pray specifically to God! It’s amazing how I received everything I prayed for in a man and more! The Lord will hear your wants and desires if you are faithful to Him. Pray and obey as you wait.

2. Don’t rush! Wait for the Lord. I’ve noticed many women settling when God wants the best for them. Some women look for their perfect man, but ladies, remember: ‘He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord.’ Be yourself and let that man notice you. Keep elevating; men are always watching. However, don’t rush into the wrong relationship.

3. Work on yourself! This is big. Work on being the best version of you. Learn more about yourself and pick up some new hobbies. Learn new skills and grow. While waiting, I learned how to do my own hair, mastered other skills at my job, and inspired and served many people. Cheers to working on yourself even while waiting! Make yourself better in the waiting process.

Ladies, stay faithful and anxious about nothing. Trust in the Lord and have faith when meeting the right man.
