In My Stretching Season

Beautiful African American Woman Stretching

“Aeriel God is stretching you.”  – Dee English

I’m thankful, but also like, “Woah!” So much is happening in so little time. I didn’t know what was going on. Thankfully, my best friend simply said, “Aeriel, God is stretching you!” In this season, things are moving fast. I sit back and smile, thinking, “God, this is what I prayed for!” Now I must manage my time and continue being thankful. Having a personal life and work life can be hard, but God. I wrote this blog for anyone being stretched in this season. Ways to thrive during the stretching include complaining none, being thankful, and knowing that it may feel like pressure, but with pressure always come big rewards!

Complain none! Some days may be busier than others, but remain thankful. If God is elevating you, continue climbing to the next level. Some days may be hard and long, leaving you tempted to give up! Don’t let the enemy block you from your blessings; keep going. In the stretching season, God won’t break you; He’s preparing you for more.

Be thankful during this season! I prayed for more and God started moving me in more directions! God is moving you into new and bigger things too! God is letting you experience growth! With growth comes pressure! Keep stretching, growing, and being thankful for this season! Looking back, we will be thankful for what God has been doing! So before you complain, stop and say, ‘God, I thank you!’

Although pressure doesn’t feel good, it brings rewards. Keep being faithful during this challenging time. Remember, God is helping you through it all. Continue to stretch and grow! The Lord declares in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you… plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.

So in this season, let us keep stretching and keep our eyes toward the Lord. He is faithful.
